As I have blogged on the K2 Community website, this is a JCE plugin which enables you to access and link to K2 categories and items, automatically figuring out the correct Itemid.
Don't you already know what JCE and K2 are? JCE is one of the best WYSIWYG content editors for Joomla!, whereas K2 is one of the best content management extensions for Joomla!. The three of them can be combined for building flexible dynamic websites which can be easily maintained by non-developers. I'm affiliated with neither, but I do use them, extensively.

This is a direct adaptation of Discouri's PayPal plugin for their woderful AMBRA.Subscriptions paid user registration component which is aware of EU tax laws. Its main premise is providing an intuitive user registration interface which can tackle the complex EU VAT laws, store your clients' information in the Joomla! users database table and ultimately help you sell subscriptions to your EU and international clients without worrying of breaking any VAT-related tax laws. If you're wondering, yes it is the same plugin used in AkeebaBackup.com.
Do note that such a thing is only required if you are an EU-based business. If you are based outside the EU the EU VAT laws do not apply to you and your EU customers.
